Affiliate disclosure

Snow Monkey Park Japan takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. If you book a tour after clicking a link or using a booking panel on this site, GetYourGuide pays me a commission. You pay the same price you would pay booking on GetYourGuide directly.

Which links earn something

The booking panels on the tour pages, and any link that sends you to getyourguide.com. That is the whole list. The link to the park’s own site at en.jigokudani-yaenkoen.co.jp earns nothing, the map links earn nothing, and the internal links between pages here earn nothing.

The commission comes out of GetYourGuide’s margin, not out of your fare. There is no surcharge, no booking fee and no membership on this site. If you would rather I earned nothing, open getyourguide.com in a fresh tab and book there; the tour and the price are identical.

What the money does not buy

No tour company pays to be written about here or to be placed anywhere on a page. Nobody has editorial approval over what I publish. The categories of tour I describe are the ones that exist in this valley: day tours out of Tokyo, half-day tours from Nagano city, and private cars with a driver.

I earn nothing at all from the park. The ¥800 admission goes to Jigokudani Yaen-koen, and the Nagaden Snow Monkey Pass is Nagano Dentetsu’s product, not mine. If you assemble the whole trip yourself by shinkansen and bus, which is a reasonable thing to do, I make nothing from your visit, and the page still tells you how to do it.

Prices

You will not find tour prices typed into these pages. Fares change through the season and between operators, so the tour pages carry a live GetYourGuide panel showing current prices and dates instead. The only figures I quote are the destination’s own: the ¥800 gate price and the published transport fares, set out on the cost page.

Questions about any of this: write to me.
